Senior Quantity Surveyor

Williams Corporation, a leading residential property developer with a strong presence in Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland with over 1500 homes built to date is looking for an exceptional Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Cebu to support our residential property development projects in New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for various aspects of quantity surveying and cost management, ensuring the efficient execution of our projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Tender Management – requesting, saving, and following up on tenders from suppliers and contractors. Accurately record a list of active suppliers and contractors we engage with.
  • Cost Management – Recording library prices from suppliers and contractors nationwide, pricing jobs once tenders are completed, keeping accurate records of contractor and supplier rates, assisting with invoice sign-off at the end of the month and back costing completed jobs.
  • Process Improvement – Implementing better systems and processes related to job pricing, issuing Purchase Orders to suppliers and contractors and assisting with estimating or take-offs for upcoming projects.
  • Reporting and Coordination – Collaborating with the bank Quantity Surveyor to prepare pre-construction reports and monthly drawdowns and coordinating closely with our New Zealand-based team to ensure project success.
  • Ad Hoc Duties – Undertaking all other reasonable tasks that a Senior Quantity Surveyor could be expected to perform.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a residential property development context.
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation and tender management.
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Team Player
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate results.
  • Knowledge of NZ or AUS building code preferred but not required
  • Lateral and logical thinking with proficient English speaking and writing skills
